What We Help With

Each item below is something you can engage us to do as a discrete piece of work, with a fixed fee agreed up front. None of our work involves selling a financial product.

Six Things, Done Properly

We keep the menu short on purpose. Each service has a clear scope, a clear deliverable, and a clear price. If something falls outside the list, we'll either decline the work or refer you to a specialist who can do it justice.

📋

1. Age Pension Walk-Through

A two-hour working session covering the eligibility tests, deeming rules, the Pension Supplement, and how your particular asset mix fits the rules. You leave with a one-page summary of your situation and a clear list of what to do next.

  • Eligibility & residency rules explained against your facts
  • Assets test and income test worked through with your numbers
  • Deeming, Work Bonus and gifting rules in plain English
  • Document checklist for a complete claim
  • Written one-page summary kept on file
📝

2. Super Account Tidy-Up

We help locate any lost super, request the latest fee and insurance disclosures from each of your existing accounts, and lay out a comparison so you can see what you're paying and for what. We do not recommend or sell a fund — the consolidation decision stays with you.

  • Lost super search via your myGov account
  • Side-by-side fee & insurance comparison
  • Consolidation pros, cons and risk warnings
  • Form-by-form walk-through if you choose to consolidate
  • Note: not personal product advice; refer to a licensed adviser if needed
📝

3. Retirement Income Briefing

A written briefing — usually 4 to 6 pages — describing how account-based pensions, minimum drawdown rates, the Work Bonus, the Commonwealth Seniors Health Card and the deeming rules interact for somebody in your bracket. Generic to your situation, not personal advice.

  • How account-based pensions work in practice
  • Minimum drawdown schedule by age band
  • Interaction between earnings, deeming and the income test
  • Commonwealth Seniors Health Card eligibility
  • Reference document you can share with family
📅

4. Pre-Retirement Checklist Session

For people 5 to 10 years from stopping work. We walk through a standard 30-point checklist — from beneficiary nominations through to estimated post-retirement expenses — and mark each item green, amber, or red for your circumstances.

  • 30-point retirement readiness checklist
  • Items broken down by green / amber / red
  • Suggested timing for the amber items
  • Referrals to accountant or solicitor for the red items
  • Annual re-check option
🔒

5. Estate-Side Pointers

A scoped review of the retirement-touching parts of your estate paperwork: super death benefit nominations, EPOA arrangements, and whether your existing will is consistent with both. We do not draft legal documents — we identify gaps and refer you to a solicitor for the drafting.

  • Super death benefit nomination review
  • Binding vs non-binding nomination explained
  • EPOA & enduring guardianship coverage check
  • Cross-check against your existing will (if available)
  • Solicitor referral list if drafting is required
📊

6. Annual Review Session

An optional once-a-year check-in for clients we've worked with before. Updates your one-page snapshot, captures any life events (downsizing, bereavement, grandchildren) and flags any legislation changes that touch your position.

  • Refresh of your one-page snapshot
  • Capture of life events since last review
  • Summary of relevant legislation changes
  • Updated checklist of next-12-month tasks
  • Discounted fee for repeat clients

How an Engagement Runs

Every engagement — large or small — follows the same five steps. There are no surprises in scope or fee.

1

Free Phone Chat

15 to 20 minutes. We listen to where you're stuck and tell you whether we can help.

2

Written Quote

You receive a written, fixed-fee quote with the deliverable described in plain language.

3

Working Session

We meet, in person or by video, and do the work together. You see everything as it happens.

4

Written Summary

We send a short written summary covering what was done, decided and what's next.

5

Optional Follow-Up

If you'd like, schedule an annual review or call us back for a discrete follow-up task.

Questions We Get Asked Often

How much does it cost?
Each service is quoted as a fixed fee after the free phone chat. As a guide, simple paperwork sessions are at the low end and the full Retirement Income Briefing is at the higher end. There are no hourly meters running.

Can my adult child sit in?
Yes — and we encourage it. Many of our clients bring an adult child or trusted friend to the working session. With your written permission, that person can also be copied on the written summary.

What you don't do?
We don't draft wills, prepare tax returns, give personal financial product advice or hold investments on your behalf. Those need a solicitor, accountant, AFSL adviser or trustee respectively, and we'll refer.

Pick One Service or Ask For a Combination

Most people start with the Age Pension Walk-Through or the Super Tidy-Up. If you're not sure which is right, just describe your situation in a message and we'll suggest where to begin.
